Global CFS, Inc. is contracted to U.S. Customs and Border Protection as the operator of Centralized Examination Station #1 for the process of inspection, examination, and control of import / export freight at the Port of Chicago. This selection by CBP has made Global CFS a primary hub for business engaged in the international transportation of cargo.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection personnel are present daily from 8 A.M. to 5 P.M. Customs Inspectors, Specialist Teams, Canine Teams, Mobile X-Ray Units, and State-of-the-Art Technology provides on-site service. Cargo entering the Port of Chicago requiring Customs Intensive Examinations is drayed to Global CFS, Inc. from rail heads and airports and inspected on a first-come first-serve basis.
